Biobank
Neuro-SysMed uses the “Research biobank for aging, dementia and neurology”. The goal of the biobank is to collect and store biological material such as blood samples, spinal fluid, biopsies, for use in projects that map inflammation-related (immunologic), inherited (genetic) and acquired (epigenetic or environmental) factors that influence the risk of, and development of neurological and neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), dementia, Parkinson’s disease and aging. Biologic material that has been donated to research is stored in the biobank.
These trials have contributed or will contribute to the collection: NAD-PARK, NO-PARK, STRAT-PARK, OVERLORD and NO-ALS.
In the future, with REK approval, the centre may run new studies that use previously collected samples to explore new theories. Such studies hey will be listed here.
If you have questions regarding the biobank, contact post@neuro-sysmed.no or your contact person in the trial you are participating in.
Research Register
The Neuro-SysMed research register is being established in 2021. It will store all digital data that has been collected from patients in clinical trials, as long as the participants have consented to this. These trials will contribute data to the register: NAD-PARK, NO-PARK, STRAT-PARK, STRAT-KOG, OVERLORD and NO-ALS.
In the future, with REK approval, the centre may run new studies that use previously collected samples to explore new theories. In that case, they will be listed here.
If you have questions regarding the research register, contact post@neuro-sysmed.no or your contact person in the trial you are participating in.
